And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Luke 16:23-24
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2Corinthians 4:3-4
Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
Jeremiah 8:19-20
The Lord showed me in a vision a soul that was going in the direction of a big gulf. He was going in that direction not knowing what was in front of him and I was really disturbed. I was looking and suddenly, when the soul realized that there was a gulf in front of him. He tried to grab something to escape. At that moment, I was so concerned about the end of this soul: is he going to escape or to fall into the gulf? And the Lord said, imagine if it was you. Imagine if it was your soul. Inside of me, something jumped up and I was so moved inside. I started praying. And the Holy Spirit said, “this is the way you should be praying”, as if it was your own soul.
“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:35-38
We are often used to praying prayers for events, prayers for crises, prayers for anything else, from any other motivation. But here, the motivation is a vision. So these prayers are prayed by people who have the same vision, the vision of the Father about the Harvest.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The Father takes pleasure to reveal His Son and this is the Divine counsel of God. At the same time flesh and blood cannot help us in terms of bringing the revelation of Jesus. God the Father has prophesied about the purpose of revealing His Son to the world: for souls to be saved. The Father doesn’t want anyone to perish even the wicked. So God expresses love through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is for the revelation of His Son that the Father promised the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
‘Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. ‘
When God’s people give priority to the ‘presence of God’ in the nations by devoting themselves to the prayer of vision, the heavens will open to the nations. Through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the preaching of the Gospel, souls will enter their eternal destiny in Christ.
